About Me

Hi, I’m Michayla, an Instructional Designer with a background in Software and Electrical Engineering and a passion for creating engaging, effective learning experiences.

I began my career in software engineering in 2020, where I developed a strong foundation in technology, problem-solving, and working with complex technical information. Along the way, I discovered my passion for instructional design through developing training materials, PowerPoint presentations, and learning content that supported Agile development and engineering teams.

Today, I bring together my technical background and creative skill set to design learning experiences that make complex information easier to understand, engaging, and actionable. My experience includes corporate training, eLearning, visual design, and developing content for technical audiences.

My creativity started long before my career in tech. In college, I designed logos and promotional materials for small businesses and organizations and created YouTube graphics, intros, and banners for social media creators. That creative foundation continues to influence the way I approach learning design today.

I’m a lifelong learner who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with others, and finding creative ways to help people learn. I’m always looking for opportunities to create meaningful learning experiences and make an impact through instructional design.
